The Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik has launched a portal called e-Manadeya Portal. It was launched as a part of 5T initiatives of Mission Shakti and Department of Women and Child Development. • Objective of the scheme– It will provide proper respect to Anganwadi workers by providing them their rightful salary.

• Paperless transfer– The honorarium will be transferred without any prior paperwork under this initiative.

• Resident of the state– in order to apply on the portal one has to be the resident of the state.

• Associated with anganwadi– The candidate has to be anganwadi worker in Odisha.

• Address proof – You need submit address proof to the authority while registering to prove that you are a domicile of Odisha.

• Identity proof– You must have identity proof like Aadhar and voter card.

• Anganwadi worker card- You must have the card as anganwadi worker and you need to have the copy of it.

• Bank details- You need to submit the copy of the first page of your bank passbook as bank details.

Role and responsibilities of anganwadi workers in Odisha

• Support the government– Anganwadi workers help the government carry out a project in the state.
• Taking care of children– The major responsibility of the workers is to weigh the children and maintain the data until the child turns 6 years old. They use referral card for data maintenance.
• Survey work– Anganwadi workers conduct survey in the state to collect data about families.
