Key features of the scheme

  1. Development of the patients – Poor patients’ families often face financial difficulties. The state government has developed this scheme to put a stopper on this issue. It will also improve the treatment facilities, available in the state.
  2. Financial assistance – As per the scheme details, the patient will be able to get a support sum of Rs. 5000 after being discharged from the hospital.

  4. Number of beneficiaries – The state reports suggest that after the implementation of this scheme, around 4.5 lakh patients will be able to get the post-treatment financial grant.

  4. Discharge papers – The discharge papers, issued by the hospitals must be attached with the application form.
  5. Financial background certificate – The applicants need to furnish documents, which highlight that they come from financially weak backgrounds.
  6. Caste certificate – It is mandatory for the applicants, belonging to specific castes like ST, SC, OBC, and minority categories to submit the certificates to support their claims.

The Chief Minister of the state has announced that the scheme will be launched soon.
